Kanye Sued Over "Good Life"
TMZ.com reports that KANYE WEST has been sued over his hit song "Good Life." In a rambling lawsuit littered with mispellings and bad grammar, and posted on TMZ.com, a man named DAYNA STAGGS claims that Kanye ripped off his song "Volume Of Good Life" -- a song Staggs claims he originally wrote and recorded in the eighties -- to create his Grammy-winning hit.
In the suit, filed in Maryland District Court, Staggs claims that Kanye appropriated melodies, lyrics, vocal samples and "drum elements" from his track. He's also upset that Kanye's song contains, quote "vulgar and offensive" lyrics that, quote, "harm the reputation" of his song, which was clean. He's seeing 85% of the proceeds from worldwide sales of Kanye's song. Kanye's people have yet to respond.
