Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL


The New York Post reports the GOP vice presidential candidate is booked and confirmed to appear on the October 25th show. The report says sketches are in the works and the Alaskan governor will even stop by NBC's studios in Rockefeller Center on Friday, the 24th, to participate in a rehearsal.

Appearing on SNL so close to election day might not be a good idea for Palin. E! Online reports a poll of 314 U.S. adults conducted this week by a research company and a college-based public opinion institute found that Palin's favorability rating dropped every time Tina Fey imitated her on the show. Palin's favorability among all voters fell four points to 43 percent after a Tina Fey impersonation.

Among independents, it also fell four percent to 33 percent. Her favorability among Republicans fell by one percent to 79 percent and dropped seven percent among Democrats to 17 percent.
