Paula Abdul's Comments Hurt Kara
KARA DIOGUARDI is none too happy about the fact that PAULA ABDUL apparently dissed her in an interview with OK! magazine. Paula was quoted in the magazine as saying that she feels four judges, quote, "don't work" on American Idol, because, quote, "it takes up so much time for each of us to give our opininon that it slows down the pace of the show."
Kara tells Access Hollywood, "Paula has a right to her opinions but I was disappointed by her comments, and hurt that she did not address them to me in person." She added, "I am proud of my contributions to the show, and remain excited about the rest of the season."
Paula now maintains that her comments were taken out of context, telling Entertainment Tonight, quote, "I was actually referring specifically to the use of 'guest judges' in seasons past, NOT Kara [DioGuardi] or this season. I am thrilled to have her by my side each week on American Idol."
