DWTS: Steve-O Booted, Gilles Gets Surgery, More
British-born stuntman Steve-O was booted from "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday night.
The former "Jackass" stuntman and his partner, Lacey Schwimmer, were eliminated in the sixth week of Season 8 of the popular dance-off show.
Still in the running for the coveted mirrorball trophy, along with their professional dance partners, are Ty Murray, Gilles Marini, Lil Kim, Melissa Rycroft, Chuck Wicks and Shawn Johnson.
SHAWN JOHNSOn GOES TO THE "PROM" WITH "DWTS" PARTNER
SHAWN JOHNSON went to the prom on Monday, albeit a makeshift one organized by her Dancing with the Stars partner, MARK BALLAS. Since Johnson is committed to the show, she won't be able to attend her actual prom, but she and Ballas had their own special party during rehearsals. The 17-year-old Johnson tells Us Weekly, quote, "I'm going to miss my real prom, but I'd rather be here. I'm not complaining at all. I think this is a fairytale compared to that!" The magazine's website doesn't provide further details on Johnson and Ballas' prom.
GILLES MARINI will have surgery to repair a separated shoulder that he suffered back when he began training for "Dancing with the Stars".
--It would require three weeks of recovery time . . . so he'll delay the surgery until AFTER he's done with the show. But Gilles isn't interested in the sympathy vote. He says, quote, "I don't really like to talk about it. I don't want people to pity me."
