Bossip is reporting about Breezy's absence from the MJ tribute at last night's BET Awards show. Jay-Z threatened to pull out of the show if Breezy stepped anywhere near the BET stage.

Bossip Reports:
Chris had been rehearsing and everything and Jay-Z pulled the plug on him single-handedly because everyone (record label, execs, etc) gave BET the ok for Chris to perform. I know as a fan of Michael's I was disappointed because even though Chris is going through all that mess with Rhi-Rhi he is a Great performer and he will never be Michael Jackson but he is the most like him right now. Damn Breezy, you never thought your drama with RiRi would end like this, right? You need to fall back and lay low for a while

What others are saying

  • this is to swiss cheese or watevr ur name is
wut u said about jay being right to letting chris brown drop out the show was wrong cuz we all make mistakes and u jus made a big one right there so do us all a favor and unplug ur computer comprende so instead of forgetting chris brown forget jay_x or jay _t or whoever he is so he can take his camel looking self back to the desert peace love and hair greese p.s when somebody askes me who cut da cheese ima say swiss
  • Uncool
The night was about Michael not Rhianna and Hov you're entitled to your feelings but you are not God. I would have much rather see Chris do a tribute to the King than watch Jay-Z hate on autotune. Where is the love?
  • Jay-Z is sooooo wrong for this
Jay-Z is soooo wrong to cancel his part in the show just to keep Chris Brown away. That is soo disrepectfull to both the artist and the purpose of the show. The award show was to honor Michael Jackson, who was the greatest influence on both of their careers. The diva-like behavior that he displayed by doing this is not honoring Michael Jackson the way he should be honored. Suppose early in his career, Jay-Z made the same mistake, wouldn't he want the industry and those who hold your career in their hands to show you the same mercy and forgiveness that the courts have shown you? My main point is he didnt honor the King by his actions, and needs to take a lesson from Rihanna herself, it doesnt matter whether or not you forget the incident, just get the hell over it.
  • Go Jay!
I'm glad to see someone puttin this kid in his place. What he did was crazy. Everyone in the music business and his fans should turn their back on him. Everyone makes mistakes. Beatin up a girl is not an "oops" mistake it's a choice. I've had angered problems my whole life and have always had the self control to not hit a girl. How can you listen to love songs from a girl beater? Seriously. Forget Chris Brown.
  • Jay-Z that's just messed up think of how the show could have been Chris you should just let him drop out the show would have been better
  • thats sooo wrong i was hoping chris would come out.... him and rhianna problems shouldn't concern jay-z....jay-z you wrong for that you know how chris feel about michael jackson dude
