Balloon Boy Pukes On TV
BALOON BOY Yesterday, the entire country watched as a big, silver, saucer-shaped balloon crash-landed in Colorado. And 6-year-old Falcon Heene was thought to be on board. But after an extensive rescue effort, the boy was found hiding in the attic of his family's garage. Wolf Blitzer talked to the boy and his family last night, and something Falcon said has people thinking the whole thing was a hoax. When the boy's father asked him why he didn't come out when he heard them calling his name, Falcon said, quote, "You guys said that we did this for the show." According to TMZ, the County Sheriff's Department is aware of Falcon's comments on CNN last night, and they're, quote, "investigating the situation." Here's what he said last night.
Falcon Henne says, "You guys said . . . we did this for the show."
Later in the show, after Balloon Boy Falcon Henne made his "we did this for the show" comment, Wolf Blitzer pressed his father on what he meant. Then Richard Henne got angry and said he was "appalled" by the suggestion that it was all a hoax. (From "CNN" on Thursday, October 15, 2009.)
Immediately after Falcon Henne said he stayed hidden in the garage because he was doing it for "the show," Wolf Blitzer asked Falcon's dad, Richard, to clarify what his son meant. But Richard seemed nervous and started explaining that Falcon hides from them all the time. (From "CNN" on Thursday, October 15, 2009.)
Falcon Henne's mother, Mayumi, told Wolf Blitzer that they looked everywhere they could think of for the boy.
