UCF Footwear conundrum for Jordan's son

Next year, MICHAEL JORDAN'S son, Marcus, will be playing basketball for the University of Central Florida. But there's a problem.
See, Central Florida has an exclusive apparel agreement with Adidas, which states that the university's athletes can only wear athletic gear bearing the Adidas logo.
But Marcus says that when he's on the basketball court, he'll only wear Air Jordans, which are made by NIKE.
Anyway, Central Florida's athletic director says he has no problem with Marcus wearing his dad's shoe. But it seems like people at Adidas do.
According to a company spokesman, quote, "We're in negotiations for a future relationship regarding the broader UCF athletic program. What I can say is that these relationships are based upon agreed deliverables for both parties."
In other words, Adidas is NOT happy with Marcus' decision, and it could end up costing the school a whole lot of money.
(And can you blame Adidas? These companies pay tons of money to have exclusive agreements with these schools. If the university doesn't uphold its end of the deal, then what's the point? Of course, if my dad had his own shoe, I might feel differently.)
What do you think, should adidas bend and allow Marcus to wear his own shoes?
