The rapper is the latest celebrity to be featured on the show, which helps needy families rebuild their dilapidated houses.

On this Sunday's episode, the former host of MTV's popular car-maker over show Pimp My Ride helps with the building of a home in Suffield, Connecticut.

"It's totally different," Xzibit told The New York Daily News. "I got to know the family, the mother, the father, the kids, and the situation they were in. To see them go through that, and see the transformation...it's something to know anticipation for myself, but when you anticipate something for somebody else, it's something exciting."

Xzibit will make a second appearance on Extreme Makeover on November 1, when he is featured fixing up a house in Kentucky, along side country superstar Clint Black.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition airs on ABC on Sunday (October 11) at 8:00 PM.
