Today I heard of the bad accident of Erika "Chula" Roman. I only was a few days in Florida in February this year, but I always listened to Power 95.3, because its my music. After coming back to Germany, I always listen online to your radio. The voice of Chula was so incredible sweet and for me, SHE was Power 95.3. I never cry, but today, when I read the bad news on the webpage, I was so shocked, that tears come over my face. Its inapprehensible. I was also born in 1976. Miss you !!

Although I Live in California, I just watched the tribute video you all put together and coudn't stop the tears, she was a wonderful loving person who is now a DJ in HEAVEN, My thoughts and prayers are with you all, God Bless!!!

When I heard about Erika's passing I was so shocked just like everyone else. I mean listening to a person everyday on the radio and suddenly there weren'tS there no more i mean its tough. unfortunetly i never got the chance to meet her in person but i lived for nine years in orlando and the peron that i most loved to hear on the radio was erika she had such a positive way of speaking and i used to listen to her on the morning show on my last couples of month i lived there, when i left i keep on listening to her online and she was just the most animated person i ever heard unfortunetly i just found out about this 12 days later but this is a huge lost i will miss her voice on the morning show... the show is just not gonna be the same with out her even tho ob and jhon are great but she gave the show so much... erika era una latina bella te voy a extranar

I have never had the pleasure of meeting this Beautiful young lady, but I did email her one time to ask about places to go to party since I was new to florida. I thanked her for responding. She had a smile to die for. She will truely be missed.

I started listening to the show on holiday in Florida and have continued to listen to it now I'm back home in Middlesbrough, England. I loved listening to Erica she seemed so nice and I couldn't believe how cheery she was even when I was listening at noon over here as it was like 5am in America!
She'll definitely be missed this side of the pond x

I am glad that I was able to make it to The Memorial Service for Erika "chula" Roman. The service was very touching and beautiful. God Bless her family and friends. She will always be Orlando, Florida's ANGEL FOREVER. Erika, thank you for being a part of my life, even if it was in a small way.

Erika's memorial service was the beginning of a new life for her with her wings. Her pictures lit up the church and her voice touched us hearing her on video. Erika, you came into my life for a reason and I will never forget what you have done for me and my daughter. Everything that everyone said about you is so true. When I first met Erika, she acted as if she had known me for years! She was just that kind of person. She had the ability to connect with so many people on so many different levels. I can honestly say that she is one of the most genuine people I've ever met. She's someone that always kept a positive attitude and a smile on her face, was always up for a challenge, and always encouraged others to do the same. She was someone that did EVERYTHING from her heart, embraced her struggle and empathized with the struggle of others. She took the trials she has experienced in her life and rose above them where others would most likely fall victim. She had this incredible drive and a passion to succeed in life. You just don't see people like this everyday. I mean, nowadays, hardly ever. This is the kind of stuff you read about and can only aspire to be. Especially with everything she's been through, I'm in complete awe in how much she has been able to accomplish both personally and professionally.

We can take comfort in knowing that even though her life on earth was cut short, she NEVER took a single day for granted and LIVED everyday to the absolute fullest. There aren't a lot of us that can say that about ourselves. Through this tragedy there is a valuable lesson to be learned. Life is short and fragile. Death can happen instantly and unexpectedly. If it all ended tomorrow could you say that you truly lived your best life? That you didn't take everyday for granted or the people in your life for granted? That you kept a positive attitude even in the midst of strife? That you weren't selfish and uncaring? We should all make those changes now before it's too late.

Erika, I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet you and know you for the time that I did. I know you are in Heaven resting peacefully in the arms of God. You will always be loved and missed by many and your spirit and memories live on.

i had the chance to meet erika, i only met her once but it was that once in a life time chance and i'm glad i took the time to meet her. she was the kind that if you were upset about something she would turn your mood completely around and make you feel so happy, it is just unexplainable. a 95.3 listener always from deltona, love ya chula!

While working at saks fifth avenue a young woman came in asking for help, not knowing who she was I did my job and gave her customer serivce and helped her as much as I could, She made a couple of jokes actually lighting my day as I rung her and asked for her name she said " do you listen to the obie and little shawn show... I'm erika!. I smiled and we conversated some more and I told her if she needed anything to let me know. About 2 months later she came back in and I heard the most happiest voice ever " There's my girl" she said as she gave me the biggest hug. Most thought she was a long time friend of mine , stopping to visit, even though I have only met her twice her beautiful personality seem like I known her forever, my she rest in peace and god bless her , her friends and family

I would tune in & listen to her every morning on my way to school esp. For "what it iz" on the Obie & Lil Shawn morning show. Even though I never really knew her as well as many other people did, I feel like she has impacted my life in a crazy way. Hearing everybody call in the radio to share their personal thoughts and feelings towards her moved me, because everybody had positive things to say about her and I see she left an incredible impression in everybody's life. And i feel like thats the way i wanna live my life. Life is not promised tomorrow. My best memory from actually listening to your show when I first moved out here was listen to a latin females voice. I had just moved from New york three years ago and just couldn't find a radio station I could not just enjoy but really listen to. After that first day of hearing you guys ya cracked me up. Erika was the inspirational one of the group but she definitly brought the funny. You guys as well as us have a tremendous lost. I believe that with this ardship and heartache we should stick together as a family and celebrate her life not just this week but everyday. She had a unique laugh. I don't have memories of Erika Roman other than hearing her on the station. I've never met her or spoke to her but this touches my heart on more than one level. I didn't know Erika on a personal level just on an everyday avid 95.3 morning show listener. She, Obie n lil Shawn got me to work every morning with a smile and a laugh.. Listening this morning to the radio while I was taking the kids to school, seriously hit reality! Though Obie n Lil Shawn do an AWESOME job it just doesn't feel the same. My sincere condolences go out to 95.3 N Erika's family, may she rest in PEACE! There will NEVER be another Erika and like the guys said this morning those are some big shoes to fill! My condolences to the Roman Family & to the power 95.3 Fam. Even though I didn't know her personally I feel like a good friend has gone to a better place. I listen to her every morning on my way to work. It was like she was giving my opinion on the show. She represented us females(latinas) & straighten out the guys. I remember when it was a cochie call & it was a girl calling another girl & she would be like that's gross & I would be in my car like "I know girl, ain't it!?!" Lol...She wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She's touched us all & will be Greatly missed.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it in the news. I kept changing the news channels to see if it was a mistake.

I heard the news this morning on the air and I was shocked. It was almost as if I lost a close friend. I listen to 95.3 every day, and I know such a great personality will be missed from the show.

We where in owr way bacck from the airport listening to 95.3 and when we herd ERIKA invitting evryone to donate bloood at sand lake and johnyung we spotted the van and my girls wanted to meet ERIKA so we stop to say hi...When ERIKA so the girls she got all exited and say"' and i qote...MIRA QUE LINDAS !!!! MY LIL FANS....... right away she took the girls to a table and gave them ARROZ CON GANDULES,PERNIL,SODAS ECT....when they finish eatting she took them on a tour inside the 95.3 VAN introduce the lil girls to everyone there, she gavethem sing picture and a hoole lot of goodies even let my girls talk on the radio live....and she took pictures of my girls with her camara to put them on the webside..this was and experience of a live time for my 3lil princesses..THANK YOU ERIKA for talking to my girls and dedicating them 15 minutes of your bussy day..they still remember everything you tald them about school...God BLESS YOU...QUE DESCANSES EN PAZ ERIKA...NUESTRA CHULA..TE ESTRANAMOS....TIFFANY,ARIANA,LALI & ADAL

She touched the lives and hearts of people of all ages. I have children close to her age and it just goes to show the power she had over the airways. Tears are falling from my eyes right now for her because I will truly miss hearing her voice. She was the heart and soul of 95.3 and I'm sure many would agree. Everyone please celebrate her beautiful soul for I'm sure she's doing what she loved doing over here and is taking it higher over there. We will miss you Erika.

I'm speechless,shocked and was in tears when I heard about Erika. I find it hard to believe that her voice will not be on the radio in the mornings. Erika made it worth while getting out of bed each morning. To hear her lovely voice made life seem so simple. She was the kind of person that you could honestly say "I would like to meet her". I got to meet Erika a short while ago and i will have to admit- meeting her changed my life. She would make everything so exciting and upbeat. She made meeting her an unforgetable experience- you just wanted to meet up with her time and time again. I will always miss her. Deepest sympothy to her family,friends and everyone at POWER 95.3. Hello, My name is Gigi and I met Eric when you had the last fugitive contest and she was so cool and she remember me when I was on the final day of the contest and told Obie and LittleShawn that this is who she was talking about. She was special and she will be missed. I hope they find who lost that boat chair in the highway because that was inresponsible and it took a wonderful like. The Shawn, Obie and Erica show will not be the same without you. RIP.

I never really listened to the station, would catch the morning show once in a while but what did do was go to the Freestyle concerts every third Wednesday at Tabu. Erica had a sweet personality and cant think of anyone more suited for promoting Freestyle, she created a family among all the fans. My prayers go out to her family and friends. You will be missed.

Erika just last week we were all together laughing and joking and hanging out with all the girls. We were laughing so hard that tears were rolling down our faces. You kept saying "I'm getting a six pack" because we were laughing so much. You were so happy to have us around and we had so much fun. Although I never personally knew Erika, it is heartbreaking to learn of her tragedy and that she is no longer here with us (physically). While I will not reflect on the end of her physical life, I would like at to hear Beyonce's 'HALO' played in her memory as she was truly an angel to many. I didn't know Ericka that well but just her advice inspired me to change my life and for that I thank u Ericka.In a way i think it's a good and bad thing that she died.The bad thing is she died in a horrible accident and the good thing is she up in heaven watching and hearing how much her fans care for her.

Dear Power Family: I don't want to say good bye to Erika, I want to say "until we meet again." There is a heaven and Erika has won the prize to be with our Father God and his son Jesus Christ. One day, we will all be there with Erika and tell her how happy we are finally to be with her and our maker. Erika has been returned to all of our future, we think that our future is here on earth but we have to realize, earth is only our temporary dwelling. God and his son will take care of Erika, now we have to make our request to Erika to watch over us as our Father watched over her. We will never know when, where and how God will end our days on earth but just as Erika is loved by all, I can assure you that we all need to live by example and when that day come to us, we can have the wonderful words and homecoming as Erika has as we honor and remember her short sweet time here on earth. Erika has not passed away she is now resting in peace and will not worry about the problems of this earth. I never met Erika but can feel her absence as I listen to those that grew to know her and loved her. Let us all remember the happy times and not be sad. Her smile and enthusiasm lit up the room and I couldn't help but feel drawn to her right away. She was a rare and beautiful human being. I can't believe I won't have the pleasure of seeing her again. The Angels in heaven are lucky to have her!

This was a personal shock to me. I'm hearing her on the morning show bright and cheerful as always, and then in the evening on my way home I hear she passed away in a car accident. I was shocked beyond words. Although I never met her, she always filled me with ispiration, and I loved hearing her voice in the mornings. It gave me strength throughout my day. Life is so precious, and hers was especially. I know that God took back his angel early, because this world is messed up, and her purpose in life for HIM was fulfilled. Erika, I love you. Thank you for making me a better person, and I will see you again in heaven. YOU ARE GREATLY MISSED!!!!!

The death of Erica has made me realize that life is so precious. I remember hearing Erica on the radio and she was always very upbeat. She has done so many great things for so many people. She is still doing things for people even though she is gone. She made me realize that I have been real selfish in wanting to take my own life. This wonderful person was enjoying her life and making the most of it and now she is gone from an accident. I know now that you should cherish life cause you never know when it can be taken from you. Not only that but your family and friends are the ones that hurt. I see and hear that from all of her friends and all of the people's lives she has touched when I turn on the radio. Erica you will be missed. Thank you for opening up my eyes.

Keeping it honest it has been awhile since I listened to the show but I do recall Erica. I loved listening to the Obie & LIl shawn show. To get to the point Erica did alot of good for alot of people and she will definitly be missed. You know it serves myself as reminder life is so precious and to really treasure it. I have struggled so much with depression in my life and have tried to relieve myself from that pain by trying to end my life. But it was like something clicked when I heard about Erika. I not sure why it effected me like that but it did. Erica is still helping people even though she is gone. I just wanted to say, you will be missed Erica and thank you for opening up eyes to see that life shouldn't be taken for granted.

Erika Roman was my homegirl; family - period. I met her as a kid working in the NY offices of Sal Abbatiello’s Fever Records. Erika did much for Sal & Fever Records and I was elated when I learned she was heading to Florida to pursue her dreams. It seems like yesterday that we were all celebrating in a packed NY lounge her departure to greener pastures.

Because of a bio I wrote for Erika and a t-shirt from my clothing line (MAMI) that I had given her to wear for her PR Photo, Erika told me --in all her humility-- that I was one of the reasons she landed the job at 95.3 a few years back. I told her, "she" was the reason she landed the job.

Erika's radiant personality, humble disposition, and infectious character, were all responsible for her success. Factor in talent & beauty and it was a no brainer.

Erika had reached out to me last month (after quite some time) to pen her new bio. She even offered to pay me; imagine that, paying her family!?

I gladly blessed my homegirl E (as I called her) with that new bio and she said: "WOW Jimmy its amazing!!!!! great job I can't wait to get this up!!!! Amazing you made me so happy and proud most of all to have a friend to look out for me.... I know its a matter of time till the next level of my career and it all starts with the foundation which is a well done package thanks again Jimmy thanks."

Those were her last words to me. I wrote in her new bio: “If determination had a face, it would look like Erika Roman. If passion had a voice, it would sound like Erika Roman. And if character had a touch, it would feel like Erika Roman.”

It broke my heart to read an email from Sal Abbatiello this morning saying we prematurely lost, E. It was even harder reading those words from the bio in countless news reports of her death. If you would have told me 3 weeks ago when I wrote that quote above that it would ultimately be read like a eulogy, I would have smacked you. The fact that it eventually did, gave me a cold feeling inside.

To truly know Erika Roman was to truly love her; and trust me, we ALL loved her. The good really do die young. In closing, Erika was an angel given to us 31 years ago. Her purpose was to change lives and leave her mark in the ways angels and good human beings are supposed to: with love, peace, and positivity.

God called Erika back home on May 1st to once again be amongst his angels. It is May 3rd and I choose not to mourn her departure, bet to celebrate her life and service as an angel. R.I.P., E! I'll miss you dearly.

I think it was Pria that said on friday, that she was angry, I surely agree with her! It's horrible to accept that people that are so deserving not to be in this world are still walking the face of the earth and this beautiful ANGEL was taken from everyone so early! I didn't know Erika personally but from the time I first hear her voice on the radio I felt as if I knew her all my life . Wakeing up in the morning to hear very strong New York accent was like music to my ears. I know she inspired many people in our community to keep their heads high in these rough time we are living in. What got me listening was turning to the station one morning and listening to a female with a crazy laugh. My 9 yr old daugther was laughing right along. We have been loyal listeners to the morning show ever since. Erika stood out right away, there was obviously something special. I was on the scene of the accident. I was driving with my mom when we saw a huge splash in the canal. We pulled over; by the time we had gotten out of our cars, there were 5 guys in the water and 20 on the grass trying to help. The guys in the water managed grab chains and connect them to someone's truck and flip the car over in order get her out of it. A woman knew cpr and began doing compressions immediately. Quickly the police, then the ambulance showed up. The "Good Samaritan" cut his foot while trying to flip the car over. They did CPR for about 40 mins, then she left in the ambulance. The hero's are all the people that jumped in the canal after her, and the woman that did cpr along with the cop. Hopefully this can give some closure to the family.

I listen to power 95.3 every morning on my way to work....I was in shock when I turned on the radio last nite and heard obie and lil shawn talking about her passing. RIP Chula...

Wow this is tragic news to me, i was really shocked and hurt wen i found out Erica Roman passed away. No disrepect to the 95.3 crew...you all are great and in my opinion, the best radio personalitys on the radio but Erica Roman to me was like the voice of the station, jsut by the fact of what she did early in the morning. Im a high school student and i wake up every single morning listening to her nd since day 1 i always thought she had such a pretty voice like without even knowing what she looked like. Its devastating to think about the fact that not just her but the hole 95.3 crew, you all put on a great show for listeners like me, you guys always put a smile on my face when i listen to the station especialy when i wake up in the morning knowing im goin to my boring school lol. you all are very good people and i know that not only me but all the 95.3 fans all are hurt to know that we lost a very good beautiful person who didnt deserve this at all. I didn't knw her personaly but she did inspire me to be the woman I am today and her laugh and smile were very powerful. Like many have said this is a tragic event for all of Central Florida and to the world of Hip Hop, for a industry that was dominated by men, Erika was able to push these limits..... My deepest condolences to the family of Erika Roman and the entire Power 95 crew! She will be greatly missed.......

I am so saddened by the sudden death of such a happy person. My 11 year old daughter and I listened to the show every morning on our way to school and work, and I want to say it will never be the same to not hear such a nice voice. I just can't believe this happened but God has a plan for all and at least she is in a better place watching over us. I want to say again Erica Rest In Peace and I am so greatful to have met you back when you guys were giving out free gas and talking with you was so nice, you will be greatly missed and in my heart.

I had the pleasure of spending some time with Erika Roman and some friends at Latin Quarter one evening. In that short period of time I quickly realized that she is and always we'll be a beautiful Soul. God Bless you my child. My deepest prayers are with you Erika Roman.

Hey i would just like to say that erica was a wonderfull person and an inspiration to all who heard her voice and words. I always loved to wake up in the morning to listen to her show it always made me feel good and made me laugh in the morning, It was something i looked foward to listening in the morning on my way to work. My heart goes out to the family and I met her at Calle orange VIP and I think we bugged her the most about getting free T-shirts..she had a great personality..She will be missed but now she is home with God and she will be a guardian angel to alot of people. God Bless you and your family.

You never seem to take a look at life when your actually living it.
Sometimes it takes time to notice the small things that make a differance in it.
I remember meeting erika in the Roxys bathroom!! She was very kind and full of energy and life!!
I believe that God has a plan for everyone, and once you have accomplished your reason in it he takes you to his.
Its not very hard to see how many lives she hhas touched and how many smiles she was the reason for.
She will forever be missed!!!!

The first time I talked to Erika on the afternoon show she was really cool. That's When I sung for her and she loved it. Then she called me to sing for the obby and lil shawn morning show,and to be on the first obby and lil shawn Idol. I was shocked and didn't know how to react so I had to just say thank you and hung up. I actually met Erika That same day at Universal Nissan she was their with the power crew, She was so sweet and cool.I told her I was the girl she spoke with this morning she was really happy about it. We started talking and It was great just speaking to her. Erika was the sweetest lady ever and most of all a true Dominican mami. I will miss her voice and enthusiasm on the show and as A PERSON. R.I.P CHULA. I know God always Has a reason for all he lets happen so I pray that family and friends understand sometimes its our time even when we don't know it.

Driving to work in the mornings at 5:30 a.m. was always a hassle but I always had my "morning Crew" to get me going with a laugh,..and the "latest celeb gossip" to get me to my job with a positive and upbeat attitude! I am saddened that a part of that team will no longer be heard again,..but I pray that the handsome and talented team of "Obie and Lil Shawn" will be able to carry on without their First "Lady" of their team. Was'nt that long ago,.that another talented morning team lost their first "Lady" during childbirth,..and we lost their wonderful talent and humor in the mornings after her death.Carry on Gentlemen of the morning show,..we need you,we'll be praying for you,..and your listeners are here for you!

I didn't listen to the radio at all yesterday because I was making a million calls so I am shocked to hear about Erika on the news this morning.

I didn't personally know her, but I loved to listen to her every single morning. She was a true inspiration to me being a young latin woman. From the comments I've read, she touched a whole lot of lives.

My condolences to her family and friends (especially her 95.3 family). She will be missed.
