PRIYA B
The Priya B. story began a little over 8 years ago in the middle of her Biology 2 class where a young Priya B. realized she did not love science as much as she loved music. Priya's school friends would always joke about how one day there would be a BAD GIRL LABEL owned by Priya B.
After Interning for awhile at KTHT HOT the program director left the duties of the music director in Priya's hands. At this moment, Priya knew that she had fallen in love.
It didn't take long for Priya B. to move up into another radio position in Houston. She sent her aircheck to a radio station she grew up listening to. The program director for KBXX-Houston 97.9 "The Box" called her for an interview. He hired her on the spot. She started doing weekends and filled in when the fulltime jocks were on vacation.
After hearing about an opening in Orlando, FL Priya sent her tape to WPYO Power 95.3. Of course, She was offered the job to do 10a to 3p for the station.
In addition to her on air shift Priya has also added entertainment reporter to her duties. "WHAT IT IZ WITH PRIYA B." has become one of the most significant parts of the morningshow.
Since Priya B. has been at Power 95.3, she has become one of the driving forces for the station. She has progressed and moved from doing middays for the station to now being one of the few females holding down afternoons. Now even though Houston is and will always be her home, She has made Orlando her second home.
