How Shakur Was Gunned Down
...taken from the Los Angeles Times

8:30pm: Shakur and Marion "Suge" Knight, head of Death Row Records, attend the Tyson-Seldon heavyweight championship boxing match at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

8:45pm: In the hotel lobby after the fight, Shakur, Knight and their bodyguards assault Orlando Anderson, a member of the Southside Crips gang.

In the next two hours: Anderson meets a group of Southside Crips in a room at the Treasure Island to ploy vengeance against Shakur. The gang sends an envoy to the MGM to meet with rapper Notorious B.I.G. and several associates. The Crips propose to kill Shakur for a payment of $1 million. B.I.G. consents and provides a weapon.

Around 10:30pm: Shakur and Knight lead a convoy of luxury cars north on the Strip on their way to Club 662, owned by Death Row Records.

Around 11pm: Anderson and three other Crips pick up a white 1996 Cadillac in the valet parking circle of the Treasure Island Hotel. A fifth Crip in an older Cadillac meets them at the curb and follows closely behind.

Between 11pm and 11:17pm: The two Cadillacs turn left from Las Vegas Boulevard onto Flamingo Road, heading east, and the Crips see the Death Row caravan stopped a block ahead at a red light at Koval Lane – about a block from the Strip. The Cadillacs pull alongside the BMW carrying Shakur.

11:17pm: The BMW is sprayed with gunfire from the white Cadillac. Shakur is hit in the chest with four rounds. A bullet grazes Knight's head. Shakur tried to jump in the back seat during the shooting. Knight makes a U-turn, crashes BMW into a curb on the Strip.
