JOB BRIEF:
Oversee the Membership Sales Department and ensure the profitability of its operation by meeting and exceeding the objectives set forth by senior management. Lead the sales and customer service functions for inbound/outbound telemarketing leads. Direct sales and service efforts for GTI. Increase membership sales and increase revenues by offering up sell products to existing members. And product Upsells.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the Sales, Customer Service and referrals for GTI membership programs.
Establish and manage goals and performance standards to ensure profitability and growth of Membership Sales/Service and Travel Sales/Service.
Track and analyze sales data on calls and revenue.
Perform sales forecasting (CPH, SPH average talk time) and staff accordingly to ensure achievement of Sales and Service goals while managing inbound and outbound telemarketing efforts.
Develop Sales & Service strategies that include performance matrices, incentive plans and reward programs that motivate the team and result in the achievement of individual and team revenue goals and productivity while improving team morale.
Establish an effective team structure and implement performance accountability that create optimal efficiency for to teams reach their performance matrices daily, weekly and monthly.
Supervision and team development include daily call monitoring, coaching and mentoring to improve sales performance and to ensure the on-going professional development of team members.
Follow and update GTIs Quality Assurance guidelines to improve the level of customer service offered on every phone call.
Responsible for Call Center schedules including: hours of operation, phone coverage, call routing etc.
Perform administrative duties including: interviewing, hiring, systems training, sales and customer service training, disciplinary actions, and terminations within the guidelines set forth by Human Resources.
Develop lead generation strategies through various channels. These channels may include, but are not limited to traditional means, list brokerage, and promotional partnerships.
Develop and provide direct response marketing messages that contribute to the teams success.
Provide feedback on sales promotions/products offered by Global Travel International, to include prices and duration of promotions.
Comply and enforce GTI policies and procedures included in GTIs Employee Handbook.
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor to meet the goals of the company.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Associate degree, bachelor degree is preferred. Previous sales management experience may be substituted for bachelor degree.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales management role in a call center environment that specializes in Travel Sales and/or Membership Sales.
SKILLS: Must be PC proficient Excel Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products and the Internet.
Manage leads effectively and maximize the value of each lead.
Proven ability to Managing Up Sell products to increase revenue for each lead, client & member.
Must possess the ability to analyze large amounts of data and interpret reports.
Must have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be highly organized with good time management skills.
Must have proven ability to design and implement sales techniques that increase production. Must be energetic and team oriented
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct reports consisting of Telemarketers
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Personal computer, fax, telephone, photo copier, calculator, ACD system, Predictive Dialer
TYPICAL PHIYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time; roughly seven hours out of an eight hour day.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS: Must be detail oriented
Must possess the ability to work in a team environment
Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Must possess the ability to maintain confidential information
Must possess the ability to create initiatives to motivate sales representatives
