When you hear the word chaos what do you think of? Most would say disorder and disarray. Well, this is a different story for the lyrical wordsmith dwelling in the central region of the “Sunshine State”. “Chaos to me means freedom. When you’re in a chaotic state your doing whatever it is your mind is capable of doing with no regard. I choose to use my chaos in music. It allows me to just be. Whether its on some serious topics or on some wild out club jump off, I’m gonna be CHAOS” explains the half Puerto Rican, half African American (if you want to be politically correct). The Harlem, NY born Guillermo Matias Jr., is no stranger to a struggle. “My mother had to do it all on her own during my early years and I appreciate her for that” he says. “Harlem at that time was a crime infested boiling pot and we had to get up out of the Pj’s” Once he and his family made the move from Harlem to the famed BX borough, it was there that he started to take in the chaotic surroundings that would later manifest into hard punch lines and an untamed like persona.

Those same surroundings would also land the young Kid Chaos in a lot of trouble with his parents, teachers and even the law. The city life had come to an end for CHAOS when his family decided to up and bounce to the Dirty South to find their children a better life. Touching down in Kissimmee, FL was a culture shock for CHAOS but he would keep writing. After maturing and growing up in the newly adapted southern environment, it is safe to say CHAOS knows the ropes in the Hip Hop game. Being in several groups helped develop and craft his keen and almost digital like precision on the microphone. Numerous recorded songs and performances have enabled CHAOS to feel comfortable in his own skin giving him the edge to perfect his celebrity. After enrolling in an Audio Engineering course early in 2000 and graduating with honors a year later, the now certified Audio Engineer has not only been toning up his laser vocals but is also able to assist others in their musical development as well. CHAOS has been involved with some of the most talented local artists in the greater Orlando area. Opportunities were presented to him when he was given two slots on the D.O.A. street album “Family Redefined”.

The anthem “Full Time Riders” and the mellow club banger “Wind Up” is where CHAOS solidified his position in central Florida’s elite. After many mixtape appearances and radio drops, the Hip Hop enthusiast has been working on bigger and more promising projects. CHAOS, after signing his first deal with Ear Drummers Entertainment, Inc. was put to work immediately. Being one fourth of the production team for the label and ghostwriting for other local artists only strengthened his credibility and musical talents. CHAOS was recently showcased along side label mate Swindle on the legendary Michael Sterling’s 1st Annual Friends Tour for a three-night Hip Hop & R&B extravaganza. CHAOS also rapped his way on to Swindle’s single “Do It” and co wrote a handful of songs for the Swindle LP, soon to be release on Ear Drummers Entertainment, Inc. At the current time CHAOS is working on putting together a series of mixtapes and also tightening up the finishing touches on an Internet released album. “I’m just having fun man. I’m blessed to have the talents I have and I’m always going to keep utilizing them to make new things happen.”
