Former Spice Girl Gives Birth

MediaTakeOut.com has just learned that former Spice Girl Melanie B has given birth to a baby girl.

The 31-year-old star was taken to hospital in Santa Monica, California, after her water broke. "The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. Mother and baby are now resting. No name has been decided on as yet, and she is purely known as Baby Brown," a spokeswoman for the singer was quoted as saying.

The pop star claims the father of her new baby is Eddie Murphy. Mel B already has an eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, by ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.

But Eddie Murphy has yet to accept paternity of the new baby girl. Soon after Mel B announced that she was pregnant, Murphy ended their relationship, and demand a paternity test to prove he was not the child's father.

Brown insists the Beverly Hills Cop actor is the father and is "astonished" by his claims. "There is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father," she said.
