Gary Coleman Married!

The world's sexiest bachelor this side of GEORGE CLOONEY is off the market. Former Diff'rent Strokes star GARY COLEMAN told yesterday's episode of Inside Edition he got married last August. The 40-year-old actor said he and 22-year-old SHANNON PRICE exchanged vows on a mountaintop in Nevada. The couple met on the set of Coleman's 2006 film Church Ball.

Price actually proposed to Coleman, but he pulled an equally big surprise by taking her to the top of the Valley of Fire State Park to tie the knot. So, why didn't the newlyweds go public with the news? Price explained the secrecy by saying, quote, "I just want my own identity as well because I don't want to be known as Gary Coleman's wife."

Aside from the 18-year age gap, the couple also has quite a size difference. Coleman stands four-foot-eight, while Price is five-seven. She sized up the difference by saying, quote, "He was 10 feet tall to me because he was sweet and I really liked his personality." For his part, Coleman said, quote, "She's more intelligent than I am, and that's what matters to me."

And don't think for a minute Price is a gold-digger looking to score with a star. She said she wasn't aware of who Coleman was when they met, adding she didn't grow up with Diff'rent Strokes and didn't watch much TV as a youngster.

According to People magazine, Coleman says this is the first time he's ever been in a romantic relationship. In addition to her wifely duties, Price also sells Coleman-related memorabilia on eBay.
