Suge Knight Kicked Out Of Compton City?

Compton City officials don't want gang members congregating in the neighborhood, drinking alcohol in public, carrying guns or out in the city past 10 p.m. Officials say Marion "Suge" Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records is one of those dangerous gangsters they want banned.

Mob Piru has long been rumored to be affiliated with Suge and Death Row, and the street gang has gained notoriety for the alleged connection, according to The Associated Press.

But Suge told the Los Angeles Times the allegations are false.

"This is crazy," he said. "I'm a 42-year-old businessman, not a gang member. I don't even live in Compton anymore.

The various restrictions including curfew are commonly used in Southern California as a tactic to crack down on gang activity, but this is the first time an injunction of this type has been sought in Compton.

Suge called the injunction a "publicity stunt."

Death Row Records was once the home of West Coast rap artists such as Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg.

The matter is scheduled to be heard in court today (Jan. 24).
